Our Story

How We Got Here

Welcome to Wellness Beauteeg. I am Kenneth Ukoh, the founder. My team and I are delighted to serve you here. Founded with a passion for holistic well-being and environmental responsibility, Wellness Beauteeg was born out of the desire to make conscious beauty accessible to everyone. We believe that true beauty radiates from within, and caring for ourselves should never come at the expense of our environment.

We inspire you and offer products that will enhance your wellness and beauty.  Additionally, we provide information, news, and articles to help you make informed decisions about wellness and beauty. We monitor the latest trends in our product category areas and want to put our customers’ wishes first. Our customers' interests are always our top priority, so we hope you will enjoy our products as much as we enjoy making them available to you.

The story of Wellness Beauteeg originates from the global financial crisis of 2007 and 2008. In 2007, I had just started working in the financial services industry as a loan consultant. In 2008, our company collapsed. I became jobless and could not find any other job soon enough to be able to pay my bills. Consequently, I lost nearly everything, including our house, because I could not continue paying the mortgage. I became very depressed and sick. Without the Grace of God, I would have sunk deeper into depression. My confidence and self-esteem were at their lowest level. My blood pressure shot up out of control and became unmanageable.

Much of the problem was not the high blood pressure itself, it was the medicines that I took that developed serious side effects and started causing adverse changes in my body. That is how my interest in health and wellness started because I had to search for natural ways of getting healed without the dangerous side effects of these drugs. I discovered. that eating natural food, taking some supplements and exercising can gradually and holistically provide healing. Since then, I have become interested in how food can contribute to healthy living and would like to use the little knowledge to inspire people to use food and natural ingredients as part of their healthy lifestyle. No wonder this quote by Ann Wigmore will never be forgotten “The food you eat can be either the safest & most powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison”.

Also, when I encountered these health challenges, I realised something about wellness and beauty that I never thought of before. There was nothing beautiful about me. I lost half of my normal weight. I looked older than my age because I was emotionally drained. There was no freshness in me. My self-esteem was at its lowest and I became hopeless. In this state of wellness, external things like make-up would not have made any difference because I was not feeling well inside. So, wellness and beauty are both intrinsically and extrinsically connected.
